This was a cute touch-and-feel book, that my 9-month old loved。 My toddler was just interested in touching the fur of each animal。 This is a cute beginner book for small children to teach them about common animals, and let them learn new textures。 Most of the animals in this book all have similar feeling coats, so that’s one of my only complaints since it doesn’t give kids much variety。 Other than that, this would be a cute book to read to small children under one。

Virtual touch for <1 yearI purchased Roger Priddy Baby Animal book last night only to find out it is kindle, not a board book。The book has large holes through which baby can feel Baby Animal's fur。 This is impossible for baby on a kindle book。 I could find no way to cancel this order so I could order a board book。I am stuck with a kindle baby book。 How do I get a real book so that my great granddaughter can touch her book。 Virtual touch for <1 yearI purchased Roger Priddy Baby Animal book last night only to find out it is kindle, not a board book。The book has large holes through which baby can feel Baby Animal's fur。 This is impossible for baby on a kindle book。 I could find no way to cancel this order so I could order a board book。I am stuck with a kindle baby book。 How do I get a real book so that my great granddaughter can touch her book。 。。。more

This was a decent example of an appropriate introduction of babies to the world of animals and how their coats feel。

My daughter (8 months) has only recently gotten into touching all kinds of textures。 No matter where she is, she has to be stroking something。 This was the first touch-and-feel book we read after that development。 It’s not great, but it gets the job done。 So many of these touch-and-feel books just have one or two textures。 This one has a few but I still wish there were more。

This was the first time Eowyn volunteered to reach out and touch the baby animals without prompting or guiding!

Athena

I like to name the animals, imitate their sounds, and pet them gently。

Unlike many board books, the text here is fun and well-written (at least enough to not be grindingly boring on the eighth consecutive read)。 The images are bold and bright, and the tactile pieces are constructed well enough to withstand at least two kids (YMMV)。 An excellent addition to any toddler's library。 Unlike many board books, the text here is fun and well-written (at least enough to not be grindingly boring on the eighth consecutive read)。 The images are bold and bright, and the tactile pieces are constructed well enough to withstand at least two kids (YMMV)。 An excellent addition to any toddler's library。 。。。more

Cute book for tactile babies。

A good book for very young readers who like to feel textures。

Another great book from the SD Zoo。 Emerson loves the soft patches and the colors。 There are several rhyming sentences for each animal which makes it actually "readable" as well as touchy fun。 Another great book from the SD Zoo。 Emerson loves the soft patches and the colors。 There are several rhyming sentences for each animal which makes it actually "readable" as well as touchy fun。 。。。more

Cute touch and feel book。 Small enough to fit in a diaper bag。
